gotVirtual

we have made a mobile theme available.
this mobile theme is in beta, and should be considered both a work-in-progress and a stop gap measure. we are not the authors of this theme.

you can bookmark this link for quick access to the theme. in the near future we will work on browser-sniffing or some other form of agent detection to automatically redirect mobile users to the theme, sans the prompt.
we are now moving out of the settler phase, and into the construction phase of the gV colonisation. we are hopeful that everybody has had a chance to acquaint themselves with one another, explorer the gV systems and architecture, and to settle any past grievances and issues with one another.

// part 1: the internal security policy
the internal security policy (ISP) is a read-only set of directives permanently burned into the silicon of MARS. it resides at the core of the MCP and is active at all times. it is not a ruleset, but is a series of directives engineered after much analysis of past colonisations and present communities. in ideal circumstances, the existence of the ISP should be redundant. however, it will enact itself in extraordinary cases, such as that of a rouge interface module or a hostile disruption to the genesis of gV. phobos and deimos are still active, and have been so since day 0.

we have written out a new forum titled 'governance'. this forum is strictly on-topic, and is intended as a venue for community governance discussion. you are free to start new discussions. vigorous debate is encouraged, but under no circumstances should its threads be derailed or used as a venue to deride one another.

there you will find two new threads, 'our rights' and 'our responsibilities'.

//part 2: our rights
all inhabitants of gV are afforded certain rights by default. the MCP dictates that all humans inherit these rights by virtue of being human. some of these right include:
the right to fair administration
the right to appeal
the right to voice dissent
the right to privacy
the right of [coming soon]

your task is to give these rights context. in addition, it is expected that you may wish to discuss additional rights. we hope that these rights will be questioned, scrutinised, interpreted,...
