I couldn't remember what the deal was with cursing in SFW forums just now, so I went looking for info on it. It struck me that as a new member, I might want to know the same thing and how I would look for it. Which, obviously, would be whatever equivalent there would be to a FAQ. The thing is, there's nothing in the Help area that explains the difference between SFW and NSFW. So, I'm just suggesting that a summary of that stuff be added in that section.
i remember having problems with the nsfw descriptor because i have never worked in an office environment. in my line of work, very little is 'nsfw'... what i took away from the discussions we had here is that sfw/nsfw is primarily a sexual/nudity issue, perhaps applicable only to photos and video. while the community standards does suggest that nsfw=porn, it was never stated outright because i never wanted porn spammed in every nsfw thread.
What Nina said... like the time I walked in the kitchen the second after the sous chef pants'ed the chef. Boxers, by the way. Striped clown boxers. No surprise there, to be honest.
I think if people are at work they should be working, and its on them if they're hanging out in "questionable" places. But as stated, the nakedness bothers the prudes.
Having NSFW in the thread title helps a lot though, work or not. I read the forum on my phone with Tapatalk when I've stopped at my favorite bakery to buy bread and have a coffee with a pastry. I don't want naked people popping up on my phone in public just because I'm browsing a forum. It would probably be that moment when a friend comes up behind me. So, thank you for remembering to NSFW a thread title.
What a great conversation starter at the Starbucks, right? "That? That's just.... so how about those Broncos?"
