Landed on a Fusion 2, price was right at $30. Runs Gingerbread, it's got decent reviews and it was cheap. You can also root the little bastard and put CM 10.1 on it. Will update.
So far I don't see any reason to root this little phone it seems to run fine with Gingerbread with one exception the contacts list crashes everytime you try to manipulate it so I'm having to manipulate my contacts on Google which is odd and then sync it across maybe I can fix that I'm not sure Sent from my other Droid.
Aint that the truth at last. Me too. My Lumia needs recharging every single effing day. It conked out and they gave me a temporary non-smart Samsung while it was repaired. Bliss. I had it two weeks and never recharged it once. Also I discovered that Windows phones do not save Contacts to the sim card but to the phone!!!! So if your Windows smartphone breaks you lose all your contacts!!!!! Finally:
My Fusion is leaps and bounds better than my iPhone. Even though it has a shitty camera (3.2, no focus/flash) it takes clean enough pictures for a phone, I have nice cameras for photography. It's reliable, responsive, functional, and with a 2GB data package I have enough data for random niceties such as Voxer and Pandora on the road. Voxer is an application introduced to my by a colleague, and it's very handy. IT turns your phone into a walkie-talkie, which is easier than texting on the road for short notes. Voxer stores the voice notes and lets you play them back at your leisure, or you can leave the app open and use it 'live' like an actual radio. I don't know enough about it yet to comment on security, etc, so don't say anything you give a rats ass about on it, which goes without saying, even your cell phones aren't safe to talk on. Best of all, it's not tied to fucking iTunes. I slapped some games on it, a massive amount of audio and video and best of all it actually makes crystal clear phone calls most of the time, unlike my iPhone.
